PLTC

translation: eurydike, additional help from pinkylequin and jiheishou @ LiveJournal.com (reposted with permission from merry_fans)

I of the summer of the flying blaze   seeking my way in this funny time of adolescence   spangled
Scattered sprinkling variety paradise*   Because the sky is blue   I retreat in the restroom

Stimulated by impulses   a prologue that leads to happiness
How did I know (I’m right)?   I don’t know

The atmosphere exhaled a feeling of pleasant loneliness   I turn into wood   you are on my mind**
Squashy wobbly squishy flabby soaked mud***   (Because) I scent of Charles****   I retreat in the restroom

Mass production   consumption   nothing but stress keeps accumulating
How often did it not go so well   Sometimes it’s meant to not go so well

Plastic is the symbol

*That part wasn’t easy to translate, because I couldn’t make anything out of “barabara” and “parapara” at first, but then pinkylequin and jiheishou came to the rescue and told me the me the meaning of those two expressions. Thanks! Moreover, pinkylequin let me know that there’s a TV programme called “Variety Paradise” (= short “Bara Para”) in Japan right now, so Gara might also be joking and playing around with this name. At first I wanted to translate “bara paradaisu” with “rose paradise” (“bara” alone means “rose”), but then I liked the picture of a variety paradise better – I mean, isn’t that what the time of adolescence is?

**“Boku wa ki ni naru kimi wa ki ni naru” – one of Gara’s famous puns once more. The “ki” in the first sentence translates as “wood”, the one I the second sentence, “ki ni naru”, means “to worry oneself or someone”, “to be anxious” or “to be on someone’s mind”.

***Tricky part #2 - thanks again to pinkylequin and jiheishou. Gara put so many words together here, I was pretty much at a loss, because I didn’t know any of them. But now, in the end, it makes sense, doesn’t it?

****“シャルル”, “jaruru” actually stands for Charles. We believe Gara talks about a perfume with said name.
